First Baptist Whitehall Side View

First Baptist Church of Whitehall is a small Church in size (around 70 members), but large in love, friendliness, prayer, faith in Christ, the fruit of the Holy Spirit, and devotion to the Bible.

Our worship service, which starts at 11 am every Sunday morning, includes a Biblical sermon, praise and worship, traditional hymns, scripture, and prayer, with sharing of praises and concerns.

Our Sunday School for grades K-12 starts at 9:30 am on Sunday morning.

Our Weekly Bible Study is from 6:30—8 pm every Wednesday at Green Mountain Family Podiatry, located at 212 Broadway during the winter months.

The Ladies Aid group meets on the second Wednesday at Noon. The location changes as the group is quite active in the community.

The youth group meets several times a month and engages in several mission projects each year.

We host a community Palm Sunday Hymn Sing every year.

We also participate in a community Vacation Bible School jointly with the Whitehall Methodist Church.

Once each summer we have a Sunday morning worship service in the Park next to the Canal, usually in July or August.

We are members of the Adirondack Association of the American Baptist Churches of New York State.

The Rev. James (Jim) C. Peterson has been our official pastor since November, 2007. He and his wife Sally live in the parsonage of the Granville Baptist Church, which he has also pastored since 1995.
