Christian Gospel singer Cheri Taylor from Indiana will be live, in concert, Sunday, Oct. 18, at 3:00 p.m., at the First Baptist Church of Whitehall, NY, 41 Williams St.  The Church is wheel chair accessible.  A free will offering will be received.  For more information, contact Pastor Jim Peterson, 642-2245, JCPeterson@roadrunner.com .

            Cheri, who is a Butler Music Group recording artist, has had over 28 years of experience in Christian Music ministry through concerts and special music.  Before being called into a solo ministry, she traveled in a local Gospel Group.  She is a winner of three Gospel Talent Searches.

            Actively involved, along with her family, in the ministries of her local church, Cheri is a member of the Conference of Southern Baptist Evangelists.  She is married and has 2 children.  Cheri Taylor Ministries is endorsed by the North American Mission Board.

            The concert at First Baptist Church of Whitehall is part of an on-going series of monthly concerts organized by Brian Larson of Christian Radio Station WNGN, 91.9 FM, usually on the third weekend of the month..

May God help Vermont, same sex marriage legalized in Vermont.  We knew it was going to happen eventually.  This deeply saddens me.  Remember to hate the sin not the sinner.  I am actually really disgusted with all of the TV Coverage on this, I don’t think it is necessary for the media to show same sex marriage on news channels, I do not want to see it (especially same sex intimacy).  I do not want my children to have to be exposed to this imagery.  I am raising my children as Christians and don’t mind if they mention same sex marriage but to be exposed to the actual sin is hard to stomach.  I think it is my job as a Christian father to educate my children as to what same sex marriage is and not the media.  I think it is time to read about Sodom and Gomorrah again.  I work in Vermont and will be witnessing when appropriate.  Of course working in a school I have to be quiet about God, and there is another issue for another post.

This is really disappointing!!!!  Same sex marriage allowed in Sims 3, this is the last thing our impressionable teens need.  This makes video games a little more undesirable to me the tech who loves video games.  I think if you have this game in your house you should get rid of it, and yes it is graphic and disgusting in my opinion.  Here is a link to a news article.  http://www.waow.com/global/story.asp?s=10900441 It aired on news Ten http://www.wten.com, but I couldn’t find a link on their web site related to the story.  Keep God’s law in your heart and be sure to take this game away from your kids.  Let others know.  Remember hate the sin not the sinner!

Christian Country Gospel Singer John Osborne will team up with the North East Gospel Music Association to give a free concert at First Baptist Church of Whitehall, 41 Williams St., Friday, August 14, 7:00 pm.  The public is cordially invited to attend.  A free-will offering will be received.  For more information, call Pastor Jim Peterson, 642-2245.

John Osborne was born and raised in Hunter, NY, where he still lives with his wife Diane and son Ryan.  John began singing gospel music as a young boy.  At age 18, in 1977, he asked Jesus into his life.

Although John has gone through tough times over the years and many valley experiences, Jesus has always guided and directed John back onto the right path.

Diagnosed with Clinical Depression in 1992, John has been able to reach out and help others who face the same illness.  John simply wants to share the message of the cross through music and the word, to see people saved, and to be an encouragement to all people.
